Introducing Jayne Jayne is 42 and due to illness had lost all confidence and independence. It was also necessary that the family was supported as a whole because the situation was eroding family morale. Jayne came to Bridge House in 2004. In the 12 months that followed her personal confidence has progressed immeasurably. A typical day for Jayne at Bridge House Her day begins on arrival with the usual interaction in the lounge with other clients, and an early morning drink. After this Jayne will do crafts. During her time at Bridge House she has learned to crochet, to knit again, to glass paint, to make fabric-covered picture frames, and in addition relearned many skills that she felt she had lost the ability to perform. Jayne enjoys assisting the staff with the laying of tables for lunch as she is very self motivated with willingness to help others around her. She always enjoys her lunch and the social interaction. In the afternoon Jayne will either do further crafts or assist with the garden duties, or maybe a general knowledge quiz. On odd occasions tiredness as a result of her illness does get the better of her after lunch. She has periods where one to one support is necessary and this will be given by a member of staff. Jayne's day will end with transport arriving at around 4:00pm. Return to Michael ... |
